Review

So, as soon as I started reading this story I realized that I need to learn more about history as Josephine was an amazingly real person. My brain vaguely remembered the story, and the more I read the more I remembered. But of course I did go to google and fully read up on the history. But enough on how this book broke my brain by giving me deja vu, let me just say it was an amazing book!

The writing in this book was perfect for the story! Everything was quick and to the point, but there was also plenty of detail provided where needed. For me this style of writing fit Josephine so well. She was such a fluid and vivacious person, so I wouldn’t imagine her to focus on the “unimportant” aspects of life. With this being said, I found the writing to mirror how I would think Josephine would go through life.

But dang, this woman was wild and amazing! The things she accomplished and the horrors she walked through showed just how strong of a woman she was. It’s amazing to think of this as a real story because everything seems so unimaginable to an ordinary person. As the title suggests, Josephine did not only have one aspect of herself, she was a: singer, a soldier, a dancer, and a spy.
