Review
IT’S HERE!!!!! I. T. S. H. E. R. E. Ok, had to get that out. But I seriously feel like I’ve been waiting for this series since I first read the Lux series way back when. I mean young me DEFINITELY needed a series about smooshy-sarcastic Luc. And honestly old me needed it too. And I will NEVER complain about getting to spend more time with these characters. I mean they’re some of my favorite ever, which is probably pretty obvious by the amount of times I’ve reread the Lux, and now Origins, series.
So, my one issue with this series is just how much it’s made me love Luc (and honestly, it’s not an issue don’t worry even though I worry). Like, I will always love and adore Daemon Black, but goodness do I have to admit that Luc is weaseling his way in to try and knock Daemon out of top spot. And I am shook by that because I didn’t think it would ever be possible. But man asides from that, this series hurt. It took a while to take off but once it did it made me sad to realize that all the hope for the future I felt at the end of the Lux series was just thrown down the drain and ground up in the garbage disposal. But I mean, there’s always that light at the end of the tunnel. OR IS THERE?! I don’t know, I’m not giving away spoilers and after the ending to the second book I know you want them.
Am I bit melodramatic about this series? Yes, I am melodramatic about any JLA series but if my Lux babies are involved I become even worse! These characters have been a part of my heart for so many years and I relish any new adventures I get to take with them and rediscover no matter how many times I decide to reread them. And I guess I should stop my review here because I’m just going to continue to gush and ramble about it.
