Was everyone I cared for doomed to die?
A.J. Rosen
Sometimes love gets a bit twisted.
Avery Montgomery doesn’t even know if she wants a soul mate.
As a member of the Hellenicus—a race founded in antiquity and descended directly from the Greek gods—Avery’s attending her first Gathering where she’ll gain the ability to entwine her thoughts with her destined soul mate and be tied to them forever.
But all is not as it seems at the Royal Court. There are severe and strange looks from the elders, whisperings from the ancient Dodona tree, and encounters with spirits who seem to know Avery better than she knows herself.
The last thing I wanted was trouble – not on an empty stomach.
A.J. Rosen
Throughout these whirlwind events at Court, Avery finds herself torn between her feelings for the wise and protective Vladimir and the passionate, fun-loving Adrian. Unwilling to surrender her independence or to betray her heart, Avery must decide once and for all if she’ll give in to her desires and risk the wrath of the Gods.
Because who are you if your destiny lies with another person?
After all, I had other things I needed to focus on. Things like figuring out ways to escape my destiny.

EEEEEE!!!!!! WE HAVE ANOTHER STORY ABOUT GREEKS! MY PEOPLE! Anyways, I LOVE finding stories about Greek gods and goddesses and their descendants! It always feels like a little bit of home (you know, even though I’ve never been to Greece. Thanks COVID for ruining that trip!). But ever since I was a little kid I was obsessed with learning about Greek mythology and obviously that obsession has carried on through to my adulthood. And Entwined was everything I could have asked for wrapped in an absolutely to die for cover!
Letting out a long sigh of relief, my rebel alter ego took over – time for a self-guided tour of the court.

This books was just such a delightful and easy to read story. It kind of took me back to the “olden” (or as I like to call it, golden) days of YA where the stories were just good stories and nothing was too forced. I dunno, maybe I’m just stuck in the past but I love just being able to pick up a book and enjoy it because it’s just a darn good story. But also, I think I’ve been EXTRA about this because my brain has shut off from all the stress this year and I just need some good ole relaxation when I read. Plus, it’s been a REALLY long time since I’ve found a book about soulmates and honestly I’ve missed this trope. Yeah, it’s cheesy, but that’s the whole point! I mean, who doesn’t fantasize about finding your one true match (or as I like to refer to it as: food and dogs).
It seemed, in that moment, that he, more than anyone else in the world, truly knew me. Inside and out. No matter how many walls I had built to prevent that from happening.

But yeah, this was an addicting, fun, and amazing book! I love when I can honestly say I picked up a book, refused to put it down, and ruined my life some more by refusing to sleep because I HAD to finish it. So yeah, I really enjoyed this one and it’s just one of those really enjoyable stories. And shout out to Wattpad, because they have been KILLING it with their books lately!
