Sarah Grace Landreneau Fulton is at a crossroads. She has always tried so hard to do the right thing, but her own mother would disown her if she ever learned half of Sarah Grace’s secrets.
The unexpected discovery of the newborn baby girl will alter Blue’s and Sarah Grace’s lives forever. Both women must fight for what they truly want in life and for who they love. In doing so, they uncover long-held secrets that reveal exactly who they really are–and what they’re willing to sacrifice in the name of family.
Praise for Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe
“Full of family secrets, undeniable charm and that particular touch of magic so often found in the South, MIDNIGHT AT THE BLACKBIRD CAFE is a heartfelt and redemptive tale of a daughter looking to move forward in the place her mother couldn’t wait to leave behind. Heather Webber creates a town as dynamic and real as her characters—and a story so compelling that it will stay on readers’ minds long after the final page. I savored every word.” —Kristy Woodson Harvey, national bestselling author of Slightly South of Simple

Review
This book is just as cute as a button. Ok, but puns aside this is such a wholesome and sweet read. It features intricate characters, a wonderful story, a look into the south, and a hint of magic. This book takes you into the story and it feels so real, even though there is some magic involved. You are given time to become invested in the characters and digest the story as you dive deeper and deeper into the book.
There’s something about magical realism that always lures me in. It’s probably because it always feels like you’re on the verge of something new and it just twists and turns your brain. And the writing is always just so lyrical and beautiful. But that’s also what this story is: beautiful. There are secrets, twists, turns, and yet it’s still a story about the characters. They matter, and a lot of times I think that the stories forget about the characters and focus on solely on the action.
All in all this book has made me a fan of Webber and I really must check out all that she has (and has yet to) written. This is such a delightful story that will help take your mind off of things and drop you into a wonderful bubble of a world.
