Crave Review

About the Book

My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods…or monsters. I still can’t decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me.

Then there’s Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn’t felt anything for a hundred years. But there’s something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what’s broken in me.

Which could spell death for us all.

Because Jaxon walled himself off for a reason. And now someone wants to wake a sleeping monster, and I’m wondering if I was brought here intentionally—as the bait.

Did I drop everything just to binge read this book? Oh, you bet your hiney I did! I tried telling myself to behave and let it wait it’s turn…. But I failed… And then pulled an all nighter to devour it all. So, you can probably tell I REALLY enjoyed this book! I also REALLY need the second one like yesterday.

So, is Crave basically a Twilight retelling down to having a similar cover? YEP. Am I mad about that? HECK NO! I mean, it’s about time I get some more yummy vampires to obsess over! I mean, it’s only been how long since I’ve been royally upset that the vampire craze seemed to vanish overnight?

So, this book has all of the angst and perfection of Twilight but without the sparkles and adding in some dragons instead. YAS. THANK YOU! There are also some witches and it alludes to even more supernatural creatures. Which has me so excited to see what is in store for the rest of this series (have I mentioned I need the second book ASAP? Yes? Oh, well, it’s true)!

This book was a very fast burn enemies to insta lovers type of ordeal. You did not have to spend 75% of the book waiting for the romance to kick off and we were graced with a couple of *steamy* scenes. Let me just say I will never think of the phrase, “bite me” the same after this. Let’s just say Jaxon has the ability to go from a sarcastic bad boy to a dawww inducing cinnamon roll in minutes and I found myself going between lol-ing and feeling the need to protect at all costs throughout this book.

So, before this review turns into me just fangirling over the main characters I will leave it at this: READ IT! Especially if you are like me and are a sucker for Twilight. You’ll love it!
